Quick and easy water flow in pipes
This program is similar to my AirState calculator, but this one deals with water flow in pipes.
Normally, you would expect to select a pipe diameter from a list of standard pipes but I have purposely not done this here. The reason is that I wanted to be able to calculate the flow / pressure for any inside diameter. This program is really a theoretical tool that was initially developed to test the relationships in the PipeFlow program. The basis of the pressure flow relationship is the D'Arcy Weisbach equation. The only real complication is to find the friction factor. For this we have used selected from a number of well known relationships to find the position on the Moody diagram.
